אודות Maayan
Hi! I’m Maayan, and I’m the kind of person who truly enjoys getting to know people and helping them feel comfortable being themselves. My background is in psychology, teaching, counseling, and coaching, but what I love most about all of these experiences is the connection I get to make with people.
I’ve always believed that everyone learns differently. Some people learn by talking, some by doing, some by laughing, and some need a little extra encouragement before they feel comfortable speaking. I’m very good at figuring out what works for each person and changing my approach to fit them.
I also have a pretty good sense of humor, and I don’t believe every lesson needs to feel like a classroom. I want our lessons to feel like a conversation with someone who is genuinely interested in helping you improve.
I’m fluent in both English and Hebrew, and I understand how intimidating it can feel to learn or speak another language. My goal is to make you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and trying new things without feeling embarrassed.
I want to share my knowledge because I genuinely enjoy watching people gain confidence. If I can help someone feel more comfortable speaking English while having a few laughs along the way, that’s a pretty great day for me!

I believe learning English should feel comfortable, personal, and fun. I get to know each student and tailor my lessons to their personality, learning style, level, and individual goals.
I love using humor, conversation, games, and real-life situations to make lessons engaging rather than feeling like traditional school. My teaching and counseling experience has taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and flexible, especially with students who may feel shy or nervous about speaking English.
Each lesson is different depending on what the student needs. We may focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, grammar, or simply building confidence in speaking. I adjust my teaching style as we go and pay attention to what helps each student learn best.
I work with children, teenagers, and adults at different English levels. Whether a student needs help with school, wants to improve conversational English, or simply wants to feel more confident communicating, I create lessons around their needs.
Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, laughing, and enjoying the learning process. I believe that when students feel comfortable with their teacher, they learn faster and have more fun doing it.
